Ilene Danse delights in creating sculpture, ceramics and installations. Besides clay and bronze she combines various media with found objects. A recent enthusiast of sculpture, her works are in private collections. Professional memberships include International Sculpture Center, Marin Arts Council, Mendocino Art Center, Nicasio Valley Sculptors, Pacific Rim Sculpture Group, Richmond Art Center, Valley Sculpture Artists, and the Northern California chapter of Womens’ Caucus for the Arts. She took classes with Susan Hontalas, Andree Singer Thompson, and workshops with Marianne deHatten Groh. She has studied ceramic sculpture with Richard Shaw and John Toki. |
